Installation and Configuration Techniques

Perimeter Installation Options

Installation 1

Option 1: Using The Control Unit
Used for smaller perimeters (less than 2500m total length). This installation is good where there is a need for maximum intrusion protection and when the identification of the intrusion location is not necessary.

Note: We recommend using a short length of flexible tubing or the use of a corner bracket on all corners to ensure that the fiber maintains an acceptable bend radius. Contact FIS for bracket part number.

Installation 2
Option 2: Ganging Controller Units
This type of installation is best used where perimeters are larger and zone identification is required. Any number of zones may be installed.

Note: We recommend using a short length of flexible tubing or the use of a corner bracket on all corners to ensure that the fiber maintains an acceptable bend radius. Contact FIS for bracket part number.

Installation 3
Option 3: Utilizing the Mapping Unit
The mapping unit is used when a manned control center is needed for high levels of monitored security and when intrusion detection and zone location are necessary.

Note: We recommend using a short length of flexible tubing or the use of a corner bracket on all corners to ensure that the fiber maintains an acceptable bend radius. Contact FIS for bracket part number.
